Childhood
From an early age, I developed a strong interest in academics,
particularly in mathematics. This dedication earned me the honor roll distinction from 2nd
through 5th grade, along with numerous awards for exemplary behavior and academic
excellence.
During this period, I was establishing deep roots with my extended family
in Bucaramanga when circumstances led to our relocation to Bogotá. This transition marked a
significant change for my family and me, as we left behind our established community and
began a new chapter in the capital city.
Elementary School
Upon arriving in Bogotá, I enrolled at Jose Eustasio Rivera school for 5th
grade. This period was crucial for adapting to the city's culture and understanding the
diverse perspectives of those around me. I also began my English language journey, and
through dedicated practice, I achieved proficiency comparable to my peers who had been
learning the language since kindergarten.
HighSchool
In 5th grade, when my previous school was closed, my parents enrolled my
brother and me at Gimnasio el Hontanar. Despite the school's modest infrastructure at the
time, the quality of education and teaching staff was exceptional.
During this phase, I
began working with my parents at our family business, Rol Positivo. My journey there evolved
from typesetting in accounting software to authorizing laboratory bills in the Saludvida EPS
system, and ultimately to software development, where I created a helpdesk system. This
project became my 11th-grade thesis, completed with guidance from experienced systems
engineers who mentored me and revealed the vast possibilities in the field. Their influence
led me to choose Computer Science as my career path. After achieving the 7th position in my
group on the ICFES test, I began researching Colombia's top universities.
University
Before university, I dedicated a semester to learning French at the Alliance
Française. I also contributed to our family business by managing a sugar CRM system while
pursuing piano studies in my free time. My time at Universidad de los Andes was challenging,
as the academic rigor exceeded my expectations. However, I embraced this challenge by
developing more effective study habits. During my university years, I served as a teaching
assistant twice, continued my French studies, and developed a keen interest in
entrepreneurship. Each semester brought new opportunities to enhance my programming skills
and design capabilities through various projects.
Future
I have successfully completed my degree in Systems and Computing Engineering
with a double emphasis in Entrepreneurship and French Language and Culture.
I earned the DELF B2 certification in French language.
I am actively developing three projects with an exceptional team I recently joined.
I have set ambitious goals and am working diligently to achieve them.
With a strong network of friends and a positive mindset, I believe that dedication,
persistence, and a positive attitude can overcome any challenge.
I look forward to what the future holds.
To our bright future!!!
